Jones is the filmmaking project of Michael Woodward and Max Barron. They have directed, and often written, long- and short-form commercial work for brands like Mercedes, Samsung, Uber, McCoy’s, Sky, Head, Ikea, and Emirates.
Nominated for European Young Director of the Year at the Cannes Advertising Festival and an AICP Award, Jones won Gold twice at the Campaign Big Awards, a Worldmedal at the New York Festivals, were shortlisted for the US CommArts Advertising Awards, and long-listed for the APA show of Britain’s best commercials. Their music videos have had more than 40 million views.
Their critically acclaimed debut feature, Everyone’s Going To Die, was released to numerous 5‑star reviews. The film premiered at SXSW and Edinburgh film festivals, where Jones were nominated for the Michael Powell Award for Best British Feature. At Dinard the film won a Special Jury Prize, at Mons it won the CICAE Art Cinema Award, and at Raindance it was nominated for Best British Feature. Nominated for a British Independent Film Award, the film was released theatrically in France, Germany, and Latin America, and screened at New York’s Rochester Museum of Fine Art.
